After meeting with the activists of Bektemir district, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected special cars that are planned to be produced in Uzbekistan.
During the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Germany in January 2019, an agreement on cooperation was signed between Uzavtosanoat and the Volkswagen concern. The agreement envisages the organization of production of Volkswagen Caddy minivans in 3 modifications at the Jizzakh Automobile Plant. This seven-seater vehicle is very suitable for converting to various needs. The Isuzu platform will also be used for these purposes.
The production of cars and trucks has been established in Uzbekistan. The presented models are intended to fill the unoccupied segment of special purpose vehicles. The demand for such machines is also high in neighboring countries.
In this regard, prototypes of special vehicles were prepared on the chassis developed by Volkswagen, Škoda and Isuzu.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed the importance of developing a new segment to replace imports and increase exports, and also gave the necessary instructions to responsible persons.
The start of assembly of the presented cars is scheduled for the 4th quarter of this year at the Jizzakh Automobile Plant. In 2022, it is planned to master the full production cycle.
