Uzbekistan has climbed up to the 29th place in the World Giving Index this year.
Last year, the country was ranked 18th (46%) in donations to charities, 58th in helping others (57% of people), and 62nd in terms of volunteering (16%).
Indonesia was ranked first with a score of 69, up from 59 the last time a yearly Index was published in 2018, when it also ranked first in the Index. More than eight in 10 Indonesians donated money this year and the country’s rate of volunteering is more than three times the global average.
The lowest positions were registered by such states as France (106th), Kazakhstan (98th), Turkey (78th), Germany (85th) and Russia (67th).
