The Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov has met with the Chairman of Indorama Corporation Prakash Kejriwal, in Singapore.
The parties discussed issues of further deepening cooperation.
Indorama Corporation has established and successfully operates a cotton yarn production enterprise in Uzbekistan’s city of Kokand, a textile cluster for the production of yarn and finished textile products in Kashkadarya and Syrdarya regions, as well as a plant for the production of superphosphates and ammonia.
During the dialogue, promising areas for increasing cooperation were considered, taking into account the attraction to Uzbekistan of advanced experience in managing small industrial textile zones, the construction of a biotechnological factory, the expansion of networks of biological laboratories, and others.
At the meeting, an Agreement on strategic cooperation was signed, which provides for the implementation of new projects in the textile and chemical industries.
During the talks with the Executive Chairman of the Meinhardt Group Shahzad Nasim, the issue of implementing joint projects, including infrastructure ones, on the principles of public-private partnership was discussed.
