According to the Novosti UZEX newspaper , the volume of sales of the domestic exchange market of non-ferrous metals in January-May 2023 exceeded 45.6 thousand tons.
The largest volume in the sales structure falls on cathode copper, whose share is 69%.
The following positions are occupied by zinc with a share of 23% and copper rod with a share of 4%.
The share of other types of non-ferrous metals is less than 3%.
Copper on the domestic exchange market demonstrates multidirectional price dynamics based on supply and demand, as well as based on the trend of world markets. Thus, in January-May, average prices for copper decreased from 108.1 million soums to 101.8 million soums.
There is a downward trend in prices on the aluminum market. Thus, aluminum prices in January of this year amounted to 31.2 million soums per ton, in April they fell to 27 million soums, and in May they slightly rose to 28.6 million soums per ton, which is associated with a slight decrease in supply.
In the structure of buyers by regions for the purchase of non-ferrous metals on the stock exchange, Tashkent and Tashkent region retained absolute leadership. They accounted for about 91% of total sales.
The following places are occupied by Andijan – 4%, Samarkand – 3% and Navoi – 2% of the region.
