Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On organizational measures for the development of clinical trials of medicines and their implementation in accordance with the requirements of international standards” was adopted.
According to the decree, the Center for the Development of Clinical Trials of Medicines in the form of a state institution is being created on the territory of the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical cluster “Tashkent Pharma Park”.
The founder of the Center is the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The main tasks of the Center are as follows:
organization of clinical trials of medicines in accordance with the requirements of international ethical and scientific standards;
coordination of the development of clinical trials on the territory of the republic and the modernization of clinical facilities based on world standards;
organization of clinical trials of medicines in accordance with the requirements of “Good Clinical Practice (GCP)”;
determination of pharmacological bioequivalence of generics to original drugs;
conducting pharmacokinetic studies of drugs on the subject of clinical trials;
training of medical personnel in the field of clinical trials;
implementation of international cooperation in the field of “Good Clinical Practice (GCP)”.
The sources of funding for the activities of the Center are:
revenue from the provision of paid services;
funds of international financial institutions, foreign organizations and donor countries;
other sources not prohibited by law.
