In order to advance its global network and international partnerships, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) engaged in an enriching and enlightening discussion with the Uzbekistan IT Park on November 14.
As a part of their visit to Bangladesh, the foreign delegation from the Uzbekistan IT Park, led by their Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Farkhod Ibragimov, visited AIUB to meet with the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna.
One of the most fast-growing complexes of IT infrastructure designed to catalyze the promising startups of the market, integrated with scientific and educational organizations, the Uzbekistan IT Park has been proactively working towards creating constructive academic and professional opportunities for its youth.
The delegation from Uzbekistan IT Park also included the Chief Overseas Operations Officer (COOO) Bakhodir Ayupov, Manager for Product Promotion Zuxriddin Saloxiddinov, and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Revotech US Jasurbek Ruzmat.
They were given a tour of the campus premises, from the computer and engineering labs, data center, classrooms, faculty rooms, as well as the auditorium, media studio, moot court, amphitheater, gymnasium, sports complex, etc.
Afterward, Dr. Lamagna initiated a brief session with the delegation and the Chairman of the AIUB Board of Trustees Dr. Hasanul A Hasan, as well as the Dean for the Faculty Engineering (FE) Prof Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, the Dean for the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS) Dr. Tazul Islam, along with the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Engineering Dr. Abdur Rahman, the Associate Dean for FASS Dr. ABM Rahmatullah, the Associate Dean for the Faculty of Science & Technology (FST) Mashiour Rahman, the Director for the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Manzur H Khan, the Director for the AIUB Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) Md Manirul Islam, and the undergraduate program directors of AIUB.
Various scopes of collaborative opportunities were highlighted during the meeting, underlining the potential for a multidimensional and holistic partnership between AIUB and the Uzbekistan IT Park in the long run.
