According to preliminary data, in January-October 2021, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 356.1 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2020 amounted to 109.5%, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (82.9%), the volume of production of which amounted to 295.2 trillion soums.
The main factors of growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in the mining industry by 16.1%, in the manufacturing industry – by 7.3%, power supply, gas, steam and air conditioning – by 12.5%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-October 2021 amounted to 34.3 trillion soums, or 9.6% of the total industry.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-October 2021 produced goods for 295.2 trillion soums, or 82.9% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.7% (1.7% in January-October 2020), medium-high-tech industries – 19.6% (23.6%), medium-low-tech industries – 40.4% (40.2%) and low-tech – 37.3% (34.5%).
In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products amounted to 17.1% (the physical volume index amounted to 99.2% against January-October 2020), the metallurgical industry – 26.8% (the physical volume index amounted to 108.4% against January-October 2020), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products – 17.4% (the volume index against January-October 2020 amounted to 119,9%), for the production of food products, beverages and tobacco products – 16.9% (the index of physical volume in January-October 2020 amounted to 107.2%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 9.3% (the index of physical volume by January-October 2020 amounted to 104.8%).
In January-October 2021, the republic produced 902.7 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period of 2020, an increase of 6.3%), 522.1 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 26.2%), 221.0 million liters of beer (an increase of 0.3%) and 1 479.6 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (a decrease of 9.6%).
In January-October 2021, 3 257 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, the volume of production decreased by 1.5%).
In January-October 2021, 773 buses were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, an increase in production was noted by 36.6%).
In January-October 2021, 119.1 thousand units of automobile engines were produced in the republic (a decrease by 38.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2020).
In January-October 2021, 213 tractors were produced in the republic (by January-October 2020, the production volume decreased by 66.2%).
In January-October 2021, 383 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production was recorded by 43.1%).
In January-October 2021, 530.6 thousand batteries were produced in the machine-building industry (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production by 9.9% was recorded).
In the automotive industry in January-October 2021, 52 454 Cobalt vehicles were produced (-21.1%), 21 578 – Nexia (-62.6%), 37 557 – Gentra (-10.1%), 45 644 – Damas (+3.6%), 7 264 – Spark (-66.6%) and 12 693 – Labo (+79.8%).
The overhaul and restoration works of technological equipment allowed increasing the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceeding the production indicators of the previous year for the production of methyl alcohol (by 7.0 times compared to January-October 2020) and caustic soda (104.9%). At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (89.3%).
If in January-October 2020 the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 26.1%, and the physical volume index increased by 5.4%, then in January-October 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry amounted to 26.8 %, the physical volume index increased by 8.4%, while the production volume amounted to 79 089.9 billion soums.
In January-October 2020, the share of production of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period, reached 106.0%. In January-October 2021, the share of other non-metallic mineral products amounted to 5.6%, the index of physical production increased by 9.0%, and the volume of production amounted to 16 416.0 billion soums.
If in January-October 2020 the share of food production in the manufacturing industry was 13.7%, and the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 107.1%, then in January-October 2021 the share of food decreased to 13.5%, the index of physical volume reached 106.0%, the total production volume amounted to 39 880.4 billion soums.
At the end of January-October 2020, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.5%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 107.4%. In January-October 2021, the share of beverage production was 2.8%, the volume index was 120.5%, and the production volume reached 8 311.6 billion soums.
At the end of January-October 2020, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 11.0%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 115.1%. In January-October 2021, the share of textile production amounted to 13.3%, the index of the physical volume of their production increased by 19.8%, and the production volume amounted to 39 175.1 billion soums.
If in January-October 2020 the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.3%, and the physical volume index was 104.2%, then in January-October 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry was 3.6%, the index physical volume – 122.3%, production volume reached 10 717.8 billion soums.
In January-October 2020, the share of chemical production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 7.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 104.5%.
In January-October 2021, the share of chemical products amounted to 7.4%, the index of physical volume of production increased by 2.8%, and the volume of production amounted to 21 744.9 billion soums.
At the end of January-October 2020, the share of coke and product production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 101.0%.
In January-October 2021, the share of coke and refined products production amounted to 2.8%, the physical volume index also decreased by 35.4%, and the production volume amounted to 8 409.1 billion soums.
At the end of January-October 2020, the share of the production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 1.8%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 116.0%.
In January-October 2021, the share of this industry was 2.0%, the physical volume index was 113.8%, and the production volume was 5 804.2 billion soums.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam, and air conditioning amounted to 24.3 trillion soums (6.8% of the total industry).
The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 12.5%.
The volume of products manufactured by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and disposal amounted to 2.4 trillion soums (0.7% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, there was a decrease in services for the emptying, cleaning, and treatment of cesspools, sedimentation tanks, and septic tanks by 2.9%. At the same time, an increase was recorded in the production of textile waste by 4.8% and services for the removal, transportation of wastewater, and their treatment – by 46.4%.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the output of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 117.0 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate reached 110.9%, the share in the total volume of the industry was 32.9 %.
In the structure of the output of food products, the production of wine and vodka products and beer amounted to 5.9% (7.1% in January-October 2020).
In the structure of the production of consumer goods of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent city (22.7% of the total volume of consumer goods), Andijan (16.2%), Tashkent (12.0%), and Samarkand (9.6%) regions.
The largest growth in the production of consumer goods was recorded in Bukhara (125.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Syrdarya (119.5%), Surkhandarya (118.8%) regions, and Tashkent city (125.1%), exceeding the average indicator for the republic (110.9%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent city (22.7% of the total volume of non-food products), Andijan (22.8%), Tashkent (9.4%), Samarkand (9.3%) regions.
In the structure of food production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (22.8% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (16.4%), and Samarkand (10.0%) regions.
In the total volume of industrial production of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (19.0% of the total volume of industrial goods), Tashkent (18.5%), Navoi (16.9%), and Andijan (7.6%) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the average republican indicator (10 227.1 thousand soums) in Navoi (59 063.6 thousand soums), Tashkent (22 643.7 thousand soums) regions and Tashkent city (24 106.4 thousand soums).
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 3 360.4 thousand soums, including in the city of Tashkent – 9 457.2 thousand soums, Andijan region – 5 893.2 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 4 835.2 thousand soums, Bukhara region – 3 457.7 thousand soums.
Today, 94.0 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 17.0 thousand (18.0% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in the city of Tashkent, 10.3 thousand (11.0%) are in Fergana, 9.6 thousand (10.2%) – Tashkent region, 9.7 thousand (10.3%) – Andijan region and 8.2 thousand (8.7%) – Samarkand region.
