According to preliminary data, in January-November 2021, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 397.3 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2020 amounted to 109.3%, the State Statistics Committee said.
In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (82.7%), the volume of production of which amounted to 328.8 trillion soums.
The main factors of growth in the physical volume of industrial production were its increase in the mining industry by 16.4%, in the manufacturing industry – by 6.8%, power supply, gas, steam, and air conditioning – by 12.9%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-November 2021 amounted to 38.5 trillion soums, or 9.7% of the total industry.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-November 2021 produced goods for 328.8 trillion soums, or 82.7% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries amounted to 2.7% (2.0% in January-November 2020), medium-high-tech – 19.8% (23.3%), medium-low-tech – 40.2% ( 40.0%) and low-tech – 37.3% (34.8%).
In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers, and other finished products amounted to 17.2% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2020 amounted to 99.6%), the metallurgical industry – 26.6% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2020 amounted to 108.1%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products – 17.5% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2020 was 119.4%), for the production of food, beverages and tobacco products – 17.0% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2020 was 106.1%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 9.4% (the index of physical volume by January-November 2020 was 104.7%).
In January-November 2021, the republic produced 1 003.4 thousand tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period of 2020, an increase of 9.2%), 609.9 thousand tons of cotton yarn (an increase of 32.9%), 225.0 million liters of beer (decrease by 0.7%) and 1 626.0 thousand tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (decrease by 10.2%).
In January-November 2021, 3 632 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, the volume of production decreased by 2.5%).
In January-November 2021, 847 buses were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, there was an increase in production by 44.0%).
In January-November 2021, 135.0 thousand units of automobile engines were produced in the republic (a decrease of 35.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2020).
In January-November 2021, 213 tractors were produced in the republic (by January-November 2020, the production volume decreased by 66.5%).
In January-November 2021, 383 pieces of rippers and cultivators were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production by 43.1% was recorded).
In January-November 2021, 621.1 thousand batteries were produced in the machine-building industry (by the corresponding period of 2020, a decrease in production by 6.8% was recorded).
In the automotive industry in January-November 2021, 61 073 Cobalt cars were produced (-17.3%), 25 833 – Nexia (-58.5%), 41 592 – Gentra (-9.3%), 48 432 – Damas (+0.3%), 8 580 – Spark (-61.8%) and 13 413 – Labo (+65.3%).
The overhaul and restoration work of the technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production indicators of the previous year for the production of methyl alcohol (8.2 times by January-November 2020). At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (90.7%) and caustic soda (99.7%).
If in January-November 2020 the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 25.9%, and the physical volume index increased by 6.3%, then in January-November 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry amounted to 26.6 %, the index of physical volume increased by 8.1%, while the volume of production amounted to 87 371.7 billion soums.
In January-November 2020, the share of production of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 5.3%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period, reached 106.2%. In January-November 2021, the share of other non-metallic mineral products amounted to 5.5%, the index of physical production increased by 5.8%, and the volume of production amounted to 17 977.5 billion soums.
If in January-November 2020 the share of food production in the manufacturing industry amounted to 13.8%, and the physical volume index, in relation to 2019, reached 107.7%, then in January-November 2021 the share of food decreased to 13.6%, the physical volume index reached 105.3%, the total production amounted to 44 804.3 billion soums.
At the end of January-November 2020, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 2.5%, while the volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 105.2%. In January-November 2021, the share of beverage production amounted to 2.8%, the volume index – 118.4%, and the production volume reached 9 062.7 billion soums.
At the end of January-November 2020, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 11.2%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 114.4%. In January-November 2021, the share of the production of textiles amounted to 13.4%, the index of the physical volume of their production increased by 19.9%, and the volume of production amounted to 44 138.5 billion soums.
If in January-November 2020 the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.3%, and the physical volume index was 102.9%, then in January-November 2021 the share of the industry in the manufacturing industry was 3.5%, the index physical volume – 120.1%, production volume reached 11 568.1 billion soums.
In January-November 2020, the share of chemical production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 7.2%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 105.0%.
In January-November 2021, the share of chemical products amounted to 7.5%, the index of the physical volume of production increased by 3.7%, and the volume of production amounted to 24 503.6 billion soums.
At the end of January-November 2020, the share of coke and product production in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 3.6%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period in 2019, amounted to 100.0%.
In January-November 2021, the share of coke and refined products production amounted to 2.9%, the physical volume index also decreased by 32.4%, and the production volume amounted to 9 619.4 billion soums.
At the end of January-November 2020, the share of the production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry amounted to 1.9%, while the physical volume index, in relation to the same period of 2019, amounted to 113.5%.
In January-November 2021, the share of this industry amounted to 2.0%, the physical volume index – 109.3%, the production volume – 6 447.4 billion soums.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam, and air conditioning amounted to 27.4 trillion soums (6.9% of the total industry).
The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, increased by 12.9%.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and disposal amounted to 2.7 trillion soums (0.7% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2020, there was a decrease in services for the emptying, cleaning, and treatment of cesspools, sedimentation tanks, and septic tanks by 2.6%. At the same time, an increase was recorded in the production of textile waste by 6.3% and services for the removal, transportation of wastewater, and their treatment – by 48.5%.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the output of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 131.1 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2020, the growth rate reached 110.8%, the share in the total volume of the industry was 33.0 %.
In the structure of the output of food products, the production of wine and vodka products and beer amounted to 5.8% (7.2% in January-November 2020).
In the structure of the production of consumer goods of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent city(22.6% of the total volume of consumer goods), Andijan (16.4%), Tashkent (12.2%), and Samarkand (9.5%) regions.
The largest growth in the production of consumer goods was recorded in Bukhara (126.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2020), Syrdarya (120.9%), Tashkent (118.5%) regions, and Tashkent city(122.7%), exceeding the average for the republic (110.8%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (22.4% of the total volume of non-food products), Andijan (23.2%), Tashkent (9.8%), Samarkand (9.4%) regions.
In the structure of food production of the republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent city (23.0% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (16.1%), and Samarkand (9.8%) regions.
In the total volume of industrial production of the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (18.9% of the total volume of industrial goods), Tashkent (18.4%), Navoi (16.8%), and Andijan (7.6%) regions.
An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (11 411.6 thousand soums) in Navoi (65 480.1 thousand soums), Tashkent (25 103.8 thousand soums) regions and Tashkent city (26 776.6 thousand soums).
The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic amounted to 3 765.1 thousand soums, including in Tashkent city – 10 550.0 thousand soums, Andijan region – 6 689.7 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 5 480.4 thousand soums, Bukhara region – 3 856.4 thousand soums.
Today, 90.4 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 16.1 thousand (17.8% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in Tashkent, 9.9 thousand (11.0%) – Fergana, 9.3 thousand (10.2%) – Andijan, 9.2 thousand (10.2%) – Tashkent and 8.0 thousand (8.8%) – Samarkand region.
