During January-March (20th) 2024, over 376.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were sold through electronic trading at the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, which is 13.5% less than for the same period in 2023, UZEX News reports “
Sales volume in January amounted to 99.2 thousand tons, in February – 156.1 thousand tons and in March (20th) – 121.3 thousand tons.
The largest volume in the sales structure is accounted for by ammonium nitrate, whose share is 54%.
In second place is urea with a share of 18%.
Ammophos accounts for 11%, ammonium sulfate – 9% and potassium chloride -7% of the market. The share of other types of fertilizers is below 1%.
Prices for ammonium nitrate in January amounted to 3 million soums, in February – 2.9 million soums per ton, and in March (20th) were at the level of 2.8 million soums per ton.
Prices for urea in January were at the level of 3.6 million soums per ton, in February – 3.7 million soums, in March – 3.9 million soums per ton.
There is a relatively even distribution of mineral fertilizers across regions on the market. The share of Samarkand and Navoi regions is 12% each, Kashkadarya region – 11%, the share of Tashkent and Fergana regions – 9% each, respectively.
The share of Bukhara, Jizzakh and Surkhandarya regions is 8% each.
