According to Tass, which got its information from China’s customs agency, Uzbekistan made sales of natural gas to China in the amount of $404 million between January and June of 2022.
By the beginning of the first half of 2021, the value of Uzbekistan’s gas exports to China had climbed by a factor of 2.2. There is no information provided regarding the quantity of exports.
Uzbekistan is now one of the top five countries that provide China with natural gas by means of a gas pipeline. Turkmenistan remained in first place in terms of exports, bringing in $4.51 billion over the course of six months. This figure is 1.5 times higher than it was during the same period in the previous year.
Myanmar came in third place with $616 million in sales, followed by Kazakhstan with $531 million and Russia in second place with $1.65 billion in sales. Uzbekistan comes in at number five with a total of 404 million dollars (an increase of about 2.2 times).
