Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 January 2023, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Jonathon David Henick.
The parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, the efforts of Uzbekistan and the United States to resolve the Afghan crisis.
The need was noted for the new Afghan authorities to fulfill the key requirements of the international community, especially in the field of ensuring the rights of women and girls to work and education.
