During the IV meeting of the Kazakh-Uzbek Business Council, held as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the city of Nur-Sultan, the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of cinematography.
The document was signed within the framework of the Days of Uzbek Cinema, which takes place in Kazakhstan from 6 to 8 December.
As part of the event, Uzbek and Kazakh filmmakers discussed filming new film projects, including the films “Neighbors” and “Echelons Go to the East”. Recall that this year the film “Meros” and the documentary film “Abay sozi” were shot by joint efforts.
In the near future, work will begin on several film projects. Also, through joint efforts, training of young filmmakers will be carried out, which will serve the further development of the film industry in both countries.
As a reminder, within the framework of the Days of Uzbek Cinema, new films will be premiered in Kazakhstan. Round tables, master classes and screenings of animation and documentaries will also be organized.
The TV channels of both countries broadcast Uzbek and Kazakh national films.
