“Everyone can cross the street with their hams thrown.” On May 10, at the intersection of Yuanzhi Street and Jiuzhou Avenue in the New District of Mianyang Science and Technology City, Sichuan, a robot speaking Sichuan dialect became a traffic guide and stood in a safe area next to the intersection, advocating civilized travel for citizens and attracting many pedestrians to stop and interact with it.

According to Mr. Tong, the on-site person in charge, the robot’s name is “Kuafu” and its overall performance is currently being tested. In addition to making its functional applications more perfect, the compatibility of its action language with the scene has also been designed. Setting up a robot that speaks Sichuan dialect and goes out on the streets can make it more “down-to-earth”, and its humorous style will make it more popular with citizens, rather than making it a cold machine that advocates civilized travel for everyone.
