The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the representative office of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Uzbekistan signed a joint program of activities within the framework of the regional GIZ program “Promotion of legal statehood in Central Asian countries”.
The event was attended by the Minister of Justice R. Davletov and the Head of the GIZ Office in Uzbekistan Jörg Pudelka.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve the activities of justice bodies and institutions in implementation of state legal policy” of May 19, 2020, the Ministry of Justice was entrusted with additional tasks, including on improving the administrative procedures and introduction of civil law mechanisms for protection of the rights and legal interests of individuals and legal entities.
Within the framework of the program, designed for August 2020 – December 2021, civil legislation and legislation on administrative rules and regulations, mechanisms for systemic accounting of normative-legal acts will be improved.
Foreign educational visits, workshops, training courses, conferences at the national and regional levels (with participation of Central Asian countries), development of educational and methodological materials are planned. Foreign experts will be involved.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the parties reached an agreement on the effective implementation of the joint program.
