The Turkish Aksa Enerji is implementing an of 240 MW combined cycle power plant construction project and a 230 MW gas piston power plant in Tashkent province under the public-private partnership terms.
Construction, installation, and commissioning works are underway at the facility. Yesterday, on December 22, the first voltage was applied to the open switchgear of the power plant. The auxiliary equipment of the plant is also currently being commissioned.
In the next 7-8 days, the power plant will be connected to the only power grid of Uzbekistan and will start supplying electricity.
The commissioning of the power plant will produce 3.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. The project itself will save 550 million cubic meters of natural gas annually.
Let us recall that this investment project is being implemented on the basis of public-private partnership in accordance with the decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
