Presidents of Uzbekistan and Belarus discuss key issues of bilateral cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan On 30 August, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
At the start of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated President Lukashenko on his anniversary, wishing him robust health, great success, and prosperity for the friendly Belarusian people.
In return, the President of Belarus sincerely congratulated the leader and the diverse people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming Independence Day, extending wishes for peace, sustainable development, and progress.
During the conversation, they discussed the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Belarus to Uzbekistan on February 7-9 of this year, in accordance with the adopted “roadmap.”
The fruitful outcomes of the recent visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation led by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, Natalia Kochanova, were highly praised.
The importance of accelerating the preparation and implementation of joint industrial cooperation projects, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges, was emphasized.
