Tashkent, Uzbekistan — Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan from 17 to 19 May.
The visit was organized at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The program of the first day of the visit includes events and negotiations at the highest level in the city of Tashkent. The agenda of the summit includes a discussion of the development of systemic political dialogue, expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchange and promotion of specific programs and cooperation projects in the areas of trade, innovation, energy, petrochemicals, industry, electrical engineering and electronics, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.
In addition, there will be an exchange of views on the current international agenda.
The head of the Malaysian government will also visit the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, where he will get acquainted with the rich cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan and take part in a joint business forum.
