In order to activate “points of growth” in the regions, create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs in all cities and regions, small industrial zones and technoparks are being created.
Technopark “Urgench” was commissioned in May 2020. Soon two enterprises started working here – “Oq oltin mega tekstil” for the manufacture of clothes and “Great Khorezm” for the production of various metal products.
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the products of the textile enterprise.
Sewing equipment from Germany, Italy and Turkey is installed here. The enterprise produces over 100 items of clothing for children and adults, including denim. 75 percent of goods are exported.
The enterprise employs 400 women from Urgench and Khiva, Yangiarik, Khanka and Urgench districts. The head of state talked to the staff.
– I am glad to meet you, to see that you have a profession, do what you love at the factory. We make great efforts to provide jobs for people, especially women and youth. This is the purpose of my trip to Khorezm, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President stressed the importance of employing women also through homework.
Equipment is being delivered to the remaining blocks of the technopark. It is expected that after reaching full capacity, the complex will produce goods for about 87 billion soums and export for 5.8 million dollars a year.
It also considers projects to improve infrastructure, develop tourism and entrepreneurship, provide employment, reduce poverty on the example of the city of Khiva and Gurlensky districts.
