Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov signed a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to ensure the stability of the epidemiological situation in the Republic of Uzbekistan associated with coronavirus infection” on 20 August.
The document notes that the Jurabek Laboratories joint venture has agreed with Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical to manufacture the ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 vaccine in Uzbekistan. At the initial stage, the drug substance will be supplied by a Chinese partner.
The government agreed with the proposals of the Ministry of Health and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry for state registration of the ZF-UZ-VAC 2001 and Sputnik V vaccines produced by Jurabek Laboratories.
As an exception, registration documents are recognized, including documents of the production process, normative documents in the field of technical regulation, positive results of preclinical and clinical studies of manufacturers of vaccine substances, on the basis of the submitted documents and certificates.
