Recent events have resulted in a commercial delegation from the industrial city of Khmelnitsky in Ukraine expressing an interest in making purchases from Uzbek textile manufacturers’ goods. Many Ukrainian businesspeople are interested in developing joint textile production projects with their Uzbek counterparts and touring Uzbek manufacturing plants. The two sides reached an agreement to increase the amount of direct contact between their respective textile industries.
According to reports that were published in Uzbek media, the delegation was interested in making use of Khmelnitsky’s capabilities in terms of logistics in order to establish a joint logistics hub there for the purpose of the subsequent export of products manufactured domestically to other countries.
The delegation met with Uzbek textile manufacturers’ heads and discussed the supply of finished Uzbek textile products to the Ukrainian market.
