The visit of Bangladeshi former Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Abdus Samad Azad to Uzbekistan took place in July 2000. On April 8-12, 2018 the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Shahriar Alam visited Uzbekistan.
- In 2018 trade between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh totaled $53.0 million.
- There are 6 companies with the Bangladeshi capital, including one enterprise with 100 percent Bangladeshi capital in Uzbekistan.
- On May 5-7, 2012, Tashkent hosted the 1st session of the Uzbek-Bangladesh Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
- On April 24-25, 2014, the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the E.Ganiev, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade visited Dhaka. The second meeting of the Uzbek-Bangladesh Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in the frame of the visit.
- On January 23-28, 2018, the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the M.Mirzayev, First Deputy Minister of Economy visited Bangladesh. Best practices of Bangladesh in the development of the textile industry were studied in the frame of the visit.
