UzAuto Motors has announced the opening of sales for Labo vehicles tomorrow, the company’s press service reported.
On March 29 at 10:00 AM, the online contract signing for 18,000 Labo LB2 Plus cars will commence. The cost of the vehicles will remain unchanged at 96,370,000 UZS.
UzAuto Motors notes that in response to the increasing market demand, the company has boosted its car production volume for the second half of 2024. The rise in production is due to measures to increase manufacturing and the allocation of volume contracted in December of the previous year.
On March 12, the automaker announced price increases for popular vehicles such as the Damas, Labo, and Chevrolet Cobalt by approximately 3.5−6.7%. Specifically, the price of the Labo LB2 Plus was expected to rise to 98,779,000 sums. However, a few hours later, UzAuto Motors clarified that a final decision on raising prices for these popular models was yet to be made.
Since the end of 2022, UzAuto Motors has suspended sales of mass-segment models including the Cobalt, Lacetti, Damas, and Labo. Since then, the company has periodically opened and then suspended sales again.
At the end of December, the company suspended sales of Cobalt, Damas, and Labo vehicles, having contracted 171,000 cars in just three days — covering the entire production volume for 2024.
