UzAuto showed the first new-generation Chevrolet Tracker crossovers assembled in Uzbekistan. In 2022, this model returns to our market.
UzAuto Motors is preparing to launch the production of a new generation of compact crossover Chevrolet Tracker in 2022, which will be supplied to our market.
The second-generation Chevrolet Tracker made its debut in China in 2019, the model entered the Latin American markets last year, and now production is being deployed at the Asaka plant.
The Turbo nameplate on the fifth door indicates the presence of a turbo engine. I must say that earlier UzAuto Motors brought small batches of Tracker from China, and they were equipped with a 3-cylinder 1.0 turbo engine (123 hp) with a six-speed “automatic” and front-wheel drive.
In the range of Tracker engines, there is also a 1.3-liter turbo engine producing 165 hp, but we are unlikely to get that – in our market, there are almost no compact crossovers more powerful than 150 hp due to the fact that they fall into a disadvantageous category for transport tax.
Now in Asaka, work is underway to establish full-cycle production of the Chevrolet Tracker: stamping, welding, painting, and assembly.
The start of production of the new Chevrolet Tracker in Uzbekistan is scheduled for July 2022.
