The Uzbekistan international trade in six months of 2020 decreased by 18.2% to the last year, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.
In January-June 2020, Uzbekistan’s trade in goods with foreign countries US$ 15.8 billion, a US$ 3.5 billion decrease compared to the last year.
Of the total volume of foreign trade, exports stand at US$ 6.28 billion (a 22.6% decrease to 2019), and imports – US$ 9.57 billion (a 15% decrease). As a result, a trade deficit amounted to US$ 3.28 billion.
Today Uzbekistan trades with more than 150 countries of the world, with China becoming the top trade partner (18.1%), followed by the Russian Federation (16.3%), Kazakhstan (8.4%), the Republic of Korea (7.1%), Turkey (5.6%), Kyrgyzstan ( 2.5%) and Germany (2.1%).
