Mukhsinkhoja Abdurakhmonov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan, recently met with Makoto Nishizako, vice president of the latter’s YKK Corporation, to brief him on the investment potential and export opportunities in his country’s textile industry. Nishizako was curious about the production capacities of Uzbekistan’s textile enterprises.
He was also curious about the import of zippers and rivets, as well as the logistics routes for goods exported from and delivered to Uzbekistan.
According to a news agency, the envoy drew Nishizako’s attention to the fact that, with the Cotton Campaign’s decision to end the global boycott of Uzbek cotton, world brands will be drawn to Uzbekistan, increasing textile product exports. Both parties agreed to further develop joint proposals, including those received from YKK Corporation.
