A solemn event dedicated to the presentation of new railway equipment was held today. The ceremony was attended by the heads of the board and responsible structural divisions of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari, as well as invited guests – representatives of domestic and foreign media.
In total, two new electric locomotives of the 3ES5K series (“ERMAK”), a multifunctional crane mechanism with a telescopic boom MULTI TASKER KRC 1200UZ, as well as the electric locomotive 3VL80S-2425 and shunting locomotive TEM2-6606 modernized by domestic specialists were demonstrated at the Tashkent-Central railway station.
Acting Chairman of the Board of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari Khusnutdin Khasilov in his speech noted the importance of new railway equipment in the transportation process. In particular, speaking about cooperation with Transmashholding, he emphasized the special responsibility of partners to the customer.
“Despite the current situation related to the coronavirus infection pandemic all over the world, our colleagues have met their contractual obligations and fulfilled our order,” Khasilov said. – Today we were delivered two new three-section electric locomotives of the 3ES5K series (“ERMAK”). By the end of this year, we expect the arrival of three more of the same modern and powerful locomotives.
It should be noted that before purchasing electric locomotives of this particular series, our specialists carried out appropriate technical tests on sections of railways with difficult terrain, which prevail in our country. The locomotives have proven themselves well in operation. As for the technical characteristics, the 3ES5K electric locomotive consists of three sections. Its capacity is 9840 kW / h. The minimum speed on the move is 49.9 km / h, and the maximum speed is 110 km / h. The electric locomotive can withstand the hottest summer and fierce winter days. The locomotive cabin is fully computerized, all the necessary conveniences for the driver are created.
At the presentation ceremony, two modernized locomotives from the operating locomotive fleet of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari were also presented. In the locomotive depot “Uzbekistan” – the flagship among their own kind in our country, they completed the overhaul of the electric locomotive of the 3VL80s-2425 series, as well as the shunting diesel locomotive TEM2-6606.
– This is not only the first overhauled electric locomotive in the Uzbekistan depot, but also the first step, which will serve as the beginning of raising the overhaul of electric locomotives to a new level in our country, says the electric locomotive driver Vladimir Vostreykin, – In particular, according to the technology factory repair, the specialists of our depot carried out a complete painting of the body of an electric locomotive with a preliminary complete cleaning from old paint to factory metal. A complete reconstruction of the driver’s cab was carried out, the casing, safety devices and measuring devices were replaced. The driver’s control panel has been updated, new windows, doors, windshield wipers, and rear-view mirrors have been installed. All comfortable working conditions have been created for the locomotive crew, in particular, a bathroom with a washbasin and new seats have been installed, there are built-in air conditioning, a microwave oven and a refrigerator for food products, and the heating system for the driver’s cab has been improved.
Today, guests of the event were also presented with one more technique – this is the only crane multifunctional mechanism of the latest model MULTI TASKER KRC 1200UZ in the CIS countries, manufactured at the KIROW ARDEL GmbH plant (Germany). A lifting mechanism weighing 175 tons and having the ability to lift up to 150 tons was delivered from Leipzig to Tashkent. This powerful mechanism shows exceptional quality when replacing switches, when carrying out track and bridge works, as well as in the emergency recovery service on the railway.
